Part of the Core Collection series, Balance + Exuberant dives into the dualities that shape personal identity, specifically the complex, sometimes opposing traits within young women. Created in collaboration with photographer LZ Atkinson, this piece began with a curated photo session based on two self-chosen, contradictory words from each model.
 
Kemba Najuma Opio transforms those moments into a surrealist portrait that captures the layered nature of being. With bold paint strokes and symbolic contrasts, Balance + Exuberant explores how conflicting qualities can coexist, forming a fuller picture of who we are at our core.
