A dreamscape composition capturing my nostalgia for my 1980’s childhood inspired by story book illustration, 80’s fashion, and my fascination with the dark feminine.  Under a full moon, lightning bugs flicker as a grackle and raven hunt among briar rose vines near the tower where a cursed princess sleeps. When I was asked as a child what I wanted to do when I grew up, I often answered that I wanted to be a painter. This was the type of painting I longed to create back then. I think of it as a gift to my child- self.
