our recent post announcing the 2025 Art Award Winners, we wanted to share a little more from that beautiful night. The Women’s Gallery hosted our first private Artist Holiday Party, gathering our represented in-house artists, invited artists from across the Austin arts community, and our event partners for a relaxed, commemorative evening at the gallery.

We savored hors d’oeuvres, enjoyed a festive holiday cocktail courtesy of our event sponsor Goodnight Loving Vodka, and spent the evening catching up—sharing gallery updates, talking about what’s ahead, and simply enjoying time together outside the usual rhythm of exhibitions and studio work.

We also shared updates on our 2026 vision and talked through upcoming opportunities for us to grow together as a community, expand our collective careers, and create more connection and support within our artistic circles.

One of the highlights of the night was our White Elephant Art Exchange. Each artist brought a small original artwork of their own as their gift offering. Watching these artworks change hands created one of the most joyful and personal moments of the evening. It offered a fun way for artists to share their work with one another and walk away with a meaningful keepsake from someone in their gallery community.
The atmosphere throughout the night felt warm and easy — a chance for artists to meet new faces, reconnect with familiar ones, and strengthen the relationships that make this gallery feel like more than an exhibiting space. It was a reminder that The Women’s Gallery is built on relationships, shared creativity, and the support women artists offer each other both inside and outside the studio + gallery.
Here’s to carrying that energy into the year ahead and continuing to build a strong, connected community for women in the arts!
THANK YOU TO THIS EVENT'S SPONSORS!
Goodnight Loving Vodka generously provided their award-winning vodka for the evening, elevating the celebration and adding to the festive spirit of the night.

And a special thank-you to John Bowyer of South Austin Audi—a true believer in equality, a champion of women in the arts, and someone who sees the artistry in engineering as clearly as he celebrates creative expression in our gallery. If you’re looking for your next vehicle, John is your go-to: knowledgeable, supportive, and committed to excellence on every level.

We’re deeply grateful to the partners who uplift our mission and help create meaningful space for women artists to shine.
