The 5 highlighted here are:

1. Tau Ceti - Austin’s tallest mural at 103ft (10 stories!) on the side of 2nd St parking garage. The Transylvanian artist, @josefkristo , named Tau Ceti after the constellation Cetus 🌌 meaning Unity and Diversity. Marvel at the springtime reflections of glass along its side unifying the diverse color gradient.

2. Julie Ahmad Contemporary - @julieahmad_art aims to tackle gender disparity in the arts, vowing to give gallery representation to female identifying people in Austin. She is an Abstract Artist herself and also has an online course.

3. Bouldin Creek Cafe - my favorite spot since college (back when it was on Elizabeth st), Leslie Martin founded @bouldincreekcafeatx to bring our community together through food. A fully meatless menu with creative coffee drinks, she’s been bringing the hungry crowds since 2000.

4. Uncommon Objects - originally getting its start on South Congress in 1991, this eclectic antique store outgrew its original digs and relocated to a bigger spot off of Menchaca to hold treasures from Japan, Argentina, and more. Highly curated, @uncommonobjects has been graced with celebrities like Johnny Depp, Elvis Costello and Elijah Wood.

5. Swift Fit Events - its founder, Lee, had a vision to create wellness in the workplace during the pandemic, hosting yoga on the rooftops of tech companies and safely distanced running groups among coworkers. @swiftfitevents now boasts intentional programming everyday of the week— free fitness, lectures, and interactive fun that supports mental and physical well being.
