At The Women’s Gallery by Julie Ahmad, we exist to amplify women in the arts.
Our gallery was born from a hard truth: the art world still doesn’t reflect the talent, training, or creative force of women. While women earn 70% of Fine Art degrees, they make up just 13.7% of living artists represented by museums and galleries across Europe and North America (source: National Museum of Women in the Arts). The numbers are so dismal, they’re often met with disbelief.
We’re here to change that.
Through curated exhibitions, artist representation, and business education, we invest in women and female-identifying artists—helping them grow their careers and gain visibility in Austin and beyond. Every show, sale, and story we share is part of a larger mission: to shift the stats, disrupt the norm, and ensure women artists are not just seen—but celebrated.

How can my business or team get involved?
At The Women’s Gallery, we believe art has the power to inspire bold thinking and deeper connections. We invite businesses to sponsor a private ‘Evening at the Gallery’—an exclusive experience for your executive team or clients. These curated evenings include private access to the gallery, refreshments, and an optional artist-led talk for an intimate, behind-the-scenes look at the creative process from a professional Austin-based artist.
Do you partner on your events?
Yes, and we love it. We collaborate with local businesses year-round for both fiscal sponsorships and in-kind support of our large-scale public exhibitions. From immersive art parties to networking events, our gatherings are vibrant, community-driven experiences that leave a lasting impression and offer great marketing exposure. If your brand values creativity, connection, and empowering women—this is a natural fit.

How else can you support women in the arts?
It’s simple: show up. Attend events featuring female artists. Follow and share their work on Instagram. Buy their art—and tell everyone you know about them. Representation grows through visibility, advocacy, and investment. Be a shero for women in the arts.
