The Other Side uses sharp contrast to full effect—flat gold leaf meets textured strokes of cool gray, white, and black. Trees stand at the edge of the water, their reflections broken and blurred in the surface below. The piece is about division and connection, weight and movement.
 
It holds a clear line and a strong presence, with just enough texture to keep it interesting. Bold without being loud, it works well in both minimal and layered spaces.
