For Gretchen Kraemer, art has never been a career move, it has always been home.
Raised around her family’s private collection of fine art, Gretchen developed a deep sense of nostalgia and sentimentality for art’s power to preserve memory and emotion. Those early experiences taught her that life, like art, is a series of iterations, each brushstroke, each decision, bringing new perspective and meaning.

After years in business consulting and project management, Gretchen realized that success alone didn’t bring her joy. What did, was the feeling of standing before a painting that made her pause, breathe, and remember what truly matters. Returning to the art world was not a career change, it was a homecoming to what gives her life purpose and deep personal joy.
Now, as Gallery Manager and Collector Consultant at The Women’s Gallery by Julie Ahmad, Gretchen helps collectors find the same sense of connection she has cherished all her life. She blends business insight with a deeply personal approach, guiding clients toward works that hold emotional and financial value.

Her home, near Lake Travis, reflects that love for art. It is obvious that she has a deep connection to Contemporary, Abstract, and Pop Art works that fill her walls, alongside her children’s original works. Each one tells a story of family, creativity, and the evolving beauty of life’s choices.
Let Gretchen help you discover artwork that fits your space, style, and collecting goals, whether it’s your first piece or the next addition to a curated collection.
